EUROHASH ’09: SPECIAL THANKS FROM ANTALYA
HASH HOUSE HARRIERS
Thanks to all participants of Eurohash 09/Antalya-Turkey!
As the 508 participants of EuroHash ’09, for a very short two days, we have got
together and created a great atmosphere of friendship stinking of beer.
Starting with the good side, firstly, beer was free and it has been available
round the clock and best of all, it was limitless. You know, it is the amount
matters, not the taste! Secondly, (although we have never counted the people on
the busses) looks like we have not left anybody in the vast forests of Antalya-Taurus
Mountains! Or did we? It’s really too hard to be sure! Anyway, on 22nd of May,
first day of Eurohash 09, because of the heavy rainfall started early in the
morning, we had to relocate our “Wellcum Party” from the open air disco–on–the-beach
which it was originally planned to locate, into a rather small inside disco hall.
That’s why it was like s…! Many of us had the chance of meeting each other and
also dancing furiously though!
Many thanks to the hares of Saturday 23th trails. They created four great trails
for us: 23-7.5-5-2.5 kms . Under the great misleadership of Gokart &Rin Tin Tin
from Ankara Hash House Harries, trails were set on an ocean of daisies and many
newly blossemed wild flowers. It was an true hashing experience to remember
running over all those beauties! Great canyons, pine forests and circles were
also great! Thanks to God and also our GM’s for all of them. Even the ball
breaker runners came back to the DD area smiling and seemed to enjoyed their
trip.
Red party was prominent with its high standards of technical set up and both
live and DJ music. Indy thanks to his Angels for the preperation and organizing
red party. During the party, in bids section, we have elected “The Hague Hash
House Harriers” from the Nederland as the host of Eurohash 2011. They performed
greatly on their slide presentation with their whole set of family members
including their grandsons and also their grandpa carrying a fake trident. I
assume grandpa was borrowed from The Hague Nursing Home for a few days. His
family called him "Neptunus" for some reason? Swedish bid was also strong but
unfortunately they did not have any chance against those hole bunch of people
from the Hague. Thanks for both bidders. Our hosts for the red party, Bush
Affair from Antalya Hash House Harriers and G-Spot from Ankara Hash House
Harriers were brilliant. During the party, they have showed their hole tricks in
entertaining the entire red party participants. Thanks Bush Affair, thanks
G-Spot!. Our rock singer from Antalya Hash House Harriers, Mobydick was
unbelievable in his performance! His and his band’s performance was simply
superb! We had a great musical journey in the history of classic rock and really
enjoyed it. Belly dancer’s belly was alsogreat! It was notable that our most
senior hares were within the smallest circle around Ipek, our belly dancer. We
have the documents to prove that but we will keep those names in secret. Indy’s
“Sound of Silence” performance with Mobydick was touchy and many of us had a
sentimental journey back to our late middle aged years left behind in the early
70’s!
Our hang-over run on 24th, Sunday was mostly took place on the sandy beaches and
made us feeling like we were running over the Great Sahara Desert. During hang
over run, we have visited many holiday villages along the Northern Mediterranean
coastline of Göynük Town and had a chance to stare at the tits of the topless
beauties from all over the world. Thanks to all those tits that helped us to get
rid of our Red Party’s hang over. Thanks to all those hares and their great
leader Joint Venture from Ýstanbul Hash House Harriers.
As the mismanagement committee and all the members of Antalya Hash House
Harriers, yes, we are aware that a unupdated program was printed and distributed
by mistake and it caused a lot of confusion; although all our three venues were
registered officially as five star hotels, many stars were missing in their
service quality; our T-Shirts were too tight; but: We really put a lot of
amateur effort during the last two years in organizing Eurohash 09. Especially
Doc and Breezy have taken a lot of responsibilities and put extraordinary
efforts in planning and mismanaging everything. We appreciate for that. We also
apologize for everything that we have mismanaged.
It is really hard to give all names who have contributed in the organizing
Eurohash 09. We thank everybody who have contributed in this success.
We also wish a lot of success for the hosts of next Eurohash, The Hague Hash
House Harriers. They surely will need a lot of balls during the next two years.
